The NeuroSurgical Research Foundation funds research into the cause, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of disease or malfunction of the brain, spine and nerves.

The Foundation is currently supporting two research projects, funded in conjunction with the NeuroSurgical Research Foundation.  The first, led by neuroscientist Dr Frances Corrigan, will use cutting edge cerebral micro-dialysis technology to test a promising therapeutic agent that could drastically reduce death and disability in young head injury patients. In addition, Assoc Prof Lyndsey Collins-Praino will lead research developing comprehensive behavioural testing battery to characterise differences involved in decision making in different subtypes of Parkinson’s Disease.
